Tucked away in the hills of Quinte Region in Hastings County is
Stirling Airport (CPJ5)
and Oak Hills Flying Club (stirlingairport.ca). The airport
runway consists of a short
area of asphalt (1000', runway 27) with the remainder of the
runway (1350') grass but
the transition from asphalt to grass is a smooth one. The runway
width is 125' with
extra room in some spots allowing aircraft to taxi and/or
pulling off to the side. The
runway has type J lighting through frequency 122.8 and 100LL
fuel is usually available
though, with the current shortage of 100LL in Canada, it's best
