A few years ago on his way to Oshkosh, Gary Rosier stopped in at the Glenn H. Curtiss Aviation Museum in Hammondsport, NY. There, Gary explored the history and collection of the museum's namesake. Curtiss started by building bicycles and motorcycles and became the "Fastest Man on Earth" in 1907. He went on to build aircraft including his flying machine "June Bug" which he flew over 5,000 feet to win the Scientific American Trophy. Among his many achievments, Curtiss even became the first person to have a pilot's license. The museum highlights his many contributions and more as we see in this photo essay. Read more…
