Across North America, whether you're flying or driving, more often than not, you'll eventually come across a small, almost unnoticed grass strip in the middle of a farmer's field. Often, unless you're specifically looking for it, you'll miss it if not for the windsock at the edge of the field or you just happen to see the vertical stabilizer sticking up out beyond the field of corn or, maybe you notice a 100' wide, long strip of well maintained cut grass in the middle of a field of beans, corn or some other crop.
