It was exactly a year ago when one local businessman - who is also an avid aviator - had a wonderful idea about organizing a very first Fly-In in our "small town" part of the world. The goal was to start a new trend where the local community comes together in recognition of breast cancer awareness month through a cool aviation event. People could come and enjoy the timeless beauty of airplanes soaring in the sky while getting more educated about the topic of breast cancer. With the Breast Cancer Society's presence and the opportunity to donate to cancer research, the Flight to Fight Fly-In in our part of the world was efficiently put up to its purpose and was a success that needed to be repeated.
