What
is the Connection between Olympic Athletes and Airplanes? |
|
Olympic-caliber athletes at the National Sports
Academy in Lake Placid, NY are in need of aircraft for transporting
athletes and coaches or to convert into funds to support critical
athletic training. Both flying aircraft and projects are accepted
and you could realize a tax deduction that exceeds the street
value of your aircraft! |
Donating
to the School
Each year, supporters of National Sports Academy help pay for
costs associated with running the school that are not covered
by tuition alone. A majority of our Olympic-bound athletes
receive financial aid, as program costs are out of reach for
most families. For that reason, we raise $250,000 each year
as well as accept gifts-in-kind to the school. That’s
where your aircraft comes in. To discuss the significant tax
benefits of this kind of gift, or to initiate a discussion
about a particular aircraft, we invite you to contact one of
the people below. An initial inquiry is just that: asking questions
and getting answers. No one will pressure you. Making a contribution
like this is a deeply personal decision. We just want you to
have the facts about the difference you can make, with this
kind of charitable transaction.
About
National Sports Academy (NSA)
NSA is the only high school in the country that specifically
recruits and trains athletes, with tremendous promise, in a wide-variety
of Winter Olympic sports in addition to preparing them for success
in college. The school is located in Lake Placid, NY, and all
of our athletes train at the local Olympic venues with some of
the finest coaches in the United States. |
In 2009-2010, the school serves 90 students
in 10 Winter Olympic Sport programs including alpine skiing,
ice hockey and luge. 18 alumni/ae have gone to the winter Olympics
from Calgary (1988) to Vancouver, a total of 31 times. Dozens
more are National and World Cup medallists and Division I college
athletes. Our girls’ hockey team is the best in New York
State.
Accredited
by both the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS)
and the New York State Association of Independent Schools (NYSAIS),
the school has a strong 33-year reputation.
Its teaching staff
is top-drawer, and its curriculum is cutting edge. The young
athletes who travel to compete have full access to their coursework
via online curricula, pod casts of lectures, and regular daily
contact with their teachers via an internal website.
